Brittany’s Story: Why Can’t They Just Finish School?

Brittany was very young when the responsibility of caring for her brother’s young children was left to her. Without enough support, Brittany was told she would not be able to graduate high school. This responsibility along with having been pregnant herself became a difficult obstacle for the traditional route to academic success. Brittany worked hard and eventually graduated high school through an alternative method, but we are left to wonder how many other young girls don’t get enough support to make it through.
